Epidermal Symbiosis

The pilot known as mycobacter's skin cells have unique metaproperties due to his inoculation with bacterial vectors for Forerunner genes.  They are documented to fluoresce strangely under a black light and to excrete a phero-chemical based pest repellent.  This begs the question of what the skin tissue of a living Forerunner would be capable of doing biochemically.
