Post Faction War Interview With Steve Ross

Hello ladies and gents Pat Willis here with Steve Ross #162076 from Clan OZ Land speaking with me today about the Faction Wars which just ended last night. Steve thanks for joining me  today and  I'd like to get right into it, so Facion Wars finally ended last night first did you have any misgivings going into the war and what were your feelings once it was all over?

Steve - Going into; I was concerned about the general format. Thought it might be a bit of a confused mess tbh. Once the gun smoke cleared it transpires it was a ROARING success. Loved it. I think a hell of a lot of new bonds and friendships were formed, and it was dynamite close to the knuckle.

Pat -  Yeah was really exciting to see play out and for my money banished all preconceived notions. So how did you find the division match ups? some thought they were fair and fine others were saying they were unbalanced overall. So happy or thought they could have done better?

Steve -  Well, we, as a faction, were put up against some heavy guns. I would have barked about 'unfair' but we had some serious strength to our arm, and as my good friend MK stated; It was a tough as leather final round. We gave it our all. RV were the better dudes on the day, but we sold our souls dearly. In conclusion; NO, it was not unfair.

Pat -  Honest straight to the point and well said. So did you have any individual or clan you were personally gunning for this war out?

Steve -  Not really. I would have said the RV boys, but we didn't know this until the round 3 draw. There were some surprise wins, and the degree of incompetence re' HG's on certain member's parts was staggering, but the RV boys rocked. I cannot wait for the next FW. MK, I want your soul dude! lol

Pat -  Ahh challenge issued yes love it! lol..So any new mechs/toys you enjoyed bringing out for this war and seeing what it could do?

Steve -  Basically just a minor re-alignment of my current squad. I had a rethink on some of my load-outs and it seemed to work. Of course there were some obvious mistakes (I take my hat of to commander Andy Bach, he rocks) but we live and learn. We fight, we get paid, we sight up on the next challenge. Game on!!!!

Pat - Great spirit for such an event gotta say those round three fights were some of the best of the war for my money. How did you find communication this time out with so many participating in each side? Was it confusing, smooth going etc?

Steve - It was ballistic. We had excellent communication and, under fire, the closing stages were very well co-ordinated. Becky did a great job, and I salute my old padowan Sade. He was, is and will continue to be a great leading force. In short, coms were cool. I look forward to working with these guys again. They have my guaranteed affiliation.

Pat - Excellent, last question here then, it seems you approve of the format, and certainly enjoyed the war. Should we get the next faction war any message you want to have known loud and proud for your would be enemies ?

Steve -  Indeed. We are coming for you. Blood is on the table and pride is the stakes. As a merc I shoot for the highest fiscal value, but as warriors we shoot for glory. Don't sit back and enjoy your victories too long. We are here, in the darkness, improving and sighting up on you. See you on the field soon. HUGE salute to all who took part. I'm damned proud, and BIG kudos to Thodoris and his guys. I was watching and I am f***ing proud of your performance.

Pat - Awesome statement! I thank you for your time and that that is all I have for this interview good luck in the future and keep those guns loaded !

Steve -  Thank you for your time Pat. Good fortune my brother.

Pat - Anytime and thanks again!
