A.k.a. - 'Appleseed'
John Applebee is the epitome of a thrill-seeker. Having come up from a poor back-ground, he has a country charm that has earned him the moniker 'Appleseed'. Johnny is the oldest Mech Jock to journey through the Chaos Gate. Others have been through the gate multiple times but eventually met their end. Johnny has always managed to return. He intends to be the one with the most trips through the gate, a record he already holds. He still keeps going through, knowing that there might be someone, someday, who could outdo his current record. In spite of the horrors, he has seen as many wonders, and this keeps him coming back, time and again.
Benjamin Disraeli
A.k.a. - 'Lone Star'
Benjamin Disraeli is ex-royalty. His clan and holdings were conquered by a much larger faction. The elements were absorbed into the clan, including Benjamin, but he and other members chafed under the new rules. Eventually he and his fellow dissenters were kicked out.
Benjamin found a new start at the Chaos Gate. Having heard rumors of worlds that could barely stand up to some small Mech parties, he quickly found someone who would back him with a Mech. He would sometimes mention in confidence a desire to start a new kingdom on a world away from the clans. These confidants didn't mention anything until the day he didn't return.
His entire scouting party never came back at the scheduled rendezvous. Most believed it was another hostile world. However, later investigation showed that his last party consisted entirely of old friends, including his fiance. It is speculated Ben found his promised land. Unless the gate recycles to that world, nobody will ever know if he has started his whispered kingdom, or met some grisly demise.
