WarHorse Mecha Review

Your first niode mecha the WarHorse is a 15 tonner costing 125 Ferrite, 200 Bioptics, and 30 niodes. Many start off with this mecha when they first start to pilot and it is a pretty solid all around machine. The build as you go through the levels allow for laser, missile, and projectile damage modifiers along with times three damage increase. So it is built to take many different arrangements of load outs. A sturdy design overall and still found in mid to high range player formations in low ton events, speaks well towards its adaptability. Because it is a lower tonnage mecha it is easier to outfit price wise with equipment as the lower tonnage gear is often less expensive than the mid to high range counter parts.

Many simply keep it as a token of affection for the good old days when the mecha choices were simple and it is indeed ideal for low tonnage events because of its adaptability. Load this baby up with higher end niode weapons and watch your enemies take a beating. Like most lower tonnage mecha however it simply does not have the armor to stand up to the heavier models. It can dish out damage pretty well but in truth has little chance standing its ground against a full on hit from say an Archfiend laser being fired by a Dilophos with all its laser damage bonuses added in. So this is a keeper from your beginner days, keep it dust it off now and again for fun but hold it back from serious combat unless you like to see your mecha go up in flames. For the beginner pilot it is ideal for  learning the ropes and seeing the options niode gear can open up for you.
