Fides Mech Review

Creepy crawlies! Some love 'em, some hate 'em. The Fides is the grand-daddy of such mechs. It was here from the start and it still inspires fear into the hearts of the 50 ton or less categories. Win them, buy them, or get them as a package purchase these multi-limbed beasties are a great asset to the junior warrior.

The Fides will cost you 1600 bioptics, 1200 ferrite and 100 niodes. Worth it? I should cocoa. If you're not looking to power level from the lower/mid pack then this grey-blue death bringer will serve you well. It is geared for projectile and missile weaps (in theory) but is a bloody good all rounder. It's equipment slots will allow for it to gear up on any weapon front and it has a tidy amount of equipment slots to compensate if the pilot is a savvy fighter. Originally a design for construction/development purposes it is finding it's worth heavily in the specialist category wars of late. NOT expensive to acquire and relatively cheap to maintain, it can bring the pain to the best of any Oggun based crew.

Plus sides: A very quick low/mid level mechanoid. Can field the majority of available weaps and tech. Has a tidy amount of equipment slots to cater for short-comings.

Minus sides: Unless you are planning to keep mechs for lower class events, or do not figure on power leveling too much, it will quickly become obsolete against the bigger boys in the galaxy.

Summary: Better than the Oggun in the low/mid levels, BUT does not have the longevity of the Oggun for the duration. If you buy one of these you will find yourself drooling over the Megazome.
