Lizard Brain Weapon Review By Mycobacter#712744

This somewhat misnamed bad boy utilizes a harvested body part from a huge ignitable salamander that was discovered early on in xenobiology when sampling life forms on a hazardous swamp planet whose landscape is composed of harsh vapors and acid bogs. In accordance to the fire triangle's fuel, heat (energy) and oxidizer (ex: air), this "monk salamander" (so named because there is a spot on the top of its head that is differently colored from the rest of its body reminiscent of the shaved top of the head hairstyle that was popular among medieval monastic orders) sets its thick, surprisingly nonsensitive outer layer of skin that it coats in an oily, pitch-like secreted musk ablaze as a defense against predators (reasoning that one would have to be insane to want to eat something that sets itself on fire as soon as it feels threatened or when if you are an unfortunate larger predator you were in the process of foolishly placing the salamander in your mouth).  The organ responsible for these flammable pheromones has secretion glands to produce the musk fuel and a small electrosensory capacitor gland like that found in an electric eel but weaker which is used as the igniter.

Secretion of the incendiary is controlled by action of valve-like pores in the salamander along its body and by actual mechanical valves in the flamethrower which utilizes this exotic organ.  When the salamander wishes to no longer be on fire it simply closes the special pores then rolls around in mud.

Damage dealt by a Lizard Brain is 95 and its speed is 104.  The minimum level to buy one is 67 and I highly, highly recommend adding it to your advanced fire weapon arsenals. It costs 1650 Ferrite, 1000 Bioptics and 53 Niodes which is in my opinion well worth saving for. Doesn't come from a lizard and it isn't a brain but it with a burn rate of 35% and a splash bonus of 8% on top of the already high amount of damage it does who the hell am I to question the choice in naming this thing?
