Red Ant Mecha Review

The back bone of just about any mecha pilots arsenal at least for starters the Red Ant is many things. Cheap first of all with it only costing 125 Ferrite and 125 Bioptics each, secondly it is one  most pilots get familiar with right off the bat as it is easily accessible to new pilots. The mecha profile says it is one of the oldest running mecha models in existence and still in widespread use today. That is rather easy to see why, cost is as mentioned fairly cheap, for a ten ton mecha it is indeed pretty durable and at the higher levels gains a respectable amount of expansion slots for a beginner mecha.

Its strength lies in its capacity for dealing out laser damage, no matter if it as simple as a Cheops beam or as sophisticated as an Archfiend this little mecha can deliver the goods on damage bonuses to laser weapons. Often you will see these making up most of a beginner pilots formation, and even see them in use by mid to high level pilots. It is quite simply a versatile, reliable and easy to use mecha that has stood the test of time and proven its worth time and time again on the battlefield. Best to save a few of these for  the King of the Mountain tourneys that pop up favoring low tonnage mecha and even double and triple rainbow events.
