Well the second dino based mech has been released and it would seem Cyberstorm has yet again had a hand in recovery and figuring out these primeval designs. Which begs the question of course just who are the Cybers cutting deals with and what are they getting aside from access to the new tech? If you read the recently discovered Aspis and the Regis tech manuals you will see Cyberstorm clearly mentioned in both.
Are they backers that Star Factories is receiving intel and finances from? Are they unofficial test pilots being used to fine tune these machines of war? Perhaps they are just closer to the Craftsmen than any truly know and have further reaching influence than originally suspected. Any of the above is feasible, and indeed preferred to the alternative which is ...They could well be the slaves/foot soldiers to the recently emerged Forerunner. They are specifically mentioned twice in two of the most recent mechs to be found and produced, it does tend to make the Galaxy at large wonder. Think on this, the Ignis was found by the Chessmen RND and each mech was found with weapons intact. The Aspis and the Regis were all found as nothing but shells totally weaponless. Were you truly the first one to find your mech? Or did the Cybers get there first and pillage the niodes and weapons from your discovery? Why is it the mechs they are credited with were weaponless? Are we expected to believe that such mechs are just shells? It seems rather sinister overall that all of a sudden the two most recent discoveries are found simply stripped.
We leave this question for you our readers to debate and worry about, but truly it is a question worth pondering. We shall all have to keep a close eye on the future mech releases, as well as who is associated with them, maybe then the question will be answered.
