The Galaxy Eye: First in the line of Crit Kill Lasers By Kenneth Hicks ID# 846092

Billy “The Fish” Johnson was feeling good about himself. After six months in the cockpit of an Anzu, command had entrusted him with one of the few Keradons available to the Lancer squad. Coming over the hill, he felt impervious as mordem rounds rained down were he once was and medium cannon rounds bounced off of his plating. Then, just over the ridge, he spotted a lone Holmes. The Holmes wasn’t moving, so Billy guessed he was handling intel for the enemy squad. Figuring that the pilot was busy, Billy came right over the rise and started to close on the Holmes’ left side. Just when he was getting into optimal range, a shoulder compartment in the Holmes opened up, and a small, circular pod popped out. A swirling mirror is all Billy could make of it as the implement swiveled towards him. In a flash, everything around Billy turned white as the ferrite around him ionized into a billion particles. It seems the 57th Lancers are going to need another Billy.

The Galaxy Eye is a laser with a fearsome reputation. It kills things. Well. I mean really well. You’re able to pick this beauty up at level 31, but it’s ability to deliver crit kills makes it a very usable and effective weapon for a very very long time. Arguably, it is the best niode based weapon you can get at it’s tier as it has excellent speed, great damage potential, and the ability to vaporize opponents with one shot. Many pilots have gone into a battle scenario that was by all aspects an easy win, only to discover to their collective horror that their front line just got turned into grey dust by a solid line of these weapons.

One of the more frustrating things that you’ll find is that these tend to be sold out a lot due to their popularity. Every now and again, a new batch will come out, but they fly off the shelves almost as fast as arms dealers are able to get their hands on them. It’s rumored that the Bacon Addicts were able to hijack a cache of these from beneath the noses of the Shogunate during the rebellion of the Mad General, but to say this was anything more than rumor would not only be libelous, but might incur the wrath of several glowy, spiny, ionizing beams.

So the next time you get a chance in the market, make sure to ask the merchant if any shipments of these babies are coming out. To go into battle without the ability to vaporize opponents with one shot will leave yourself and those that fight under you in a very tight situation.
