Mecha Review The Yallan By Sten Hugo Hiller#627184

The sight of the so far biggest mecha unearthed is enough to send lots of medium mecha pilots fleeing in gibbering terror. Recently unleashed, it has yet to be used in the front-lines, but if you go through the technical specifications you will probably agree that the best way to stop one of these monsters is to have two of them.

To address its main weakness, yes those fleeing medium pilots will probably get away, because it starts very slow. Maybe one of those pilots will be bold enough to turn and send some missiles against it, where a 17% vulnerability is its second weakness. Otherwise, I can hardly wait to qualify to buy one. Fully developed at lvl 120 it will for starters have an armor of 1258, room for 32 weapons, 5 engines, 6 cockpits and an unprecedented 7 Shield slots, also 4 chassis slots.

Some might think the 7 Shield slots is excessive given it already will have Ice Shield (20), Trample Shield 70%, Splash Shield (25), Fire Shield (80), Laser Shield (30) in addition to a general Shield at (24), Damage wise it will have a 3 in 10 shot at fork, 54% increased firedamage and 13% increase in its laser output.

As the Yallan doesn't have any built in precision, the cockpit Equipment should redress this problem, best choice at the moment is probably the haptic Interface, but for those cost concious owners out there the sensor array is not a bad choice.

The yallan will never be a dancer, but with some mindori boots on it can at least step away from some incoming fire, and the increased damage and precision makes it even deadlier. Or you could opt for muon junction instead, increasing the odds for fork  to better than 1 in 2. With some freeze thrown in to shut down the pesky midgets that stand in your way this is an tempting option.

Those without the niodes neccesary for these goodies will have a choice between stealth plating and advanced alloys. Here is a tough choice, as the playting reduces your speed even more but makes you harder to hit, while the alloys increase your speed.

For engines the RACE is an excellent choice as it  throws in some tiny amount of repair, for crystal version the heat cycler would be my choice as I would want the speed much more than some increased projectile damage.
