Corrugated Joints Equipment Review by David McCallum #701548

Well, since this piece of gear came onto the market, crystal based pilots now have a choice of 4 chassis pieces for their 95 ton mechs and 2 choices for their 100 ton bad boys... or girls, I can never work out gender on mechs (and its probably best if they keep it behind closed doors anyway).

As a bonus, its also the cheapest chassis piece in this range, coming in at 49 Crystal, 605 Bioptics and 1688 Ferrite. For that you get a Dodge characteristic of 6 which is middle of the road for a 95 ton crystal piece but best for 100 ton. Trample shielding of 30% and Fork shielding of 50% is useful and certainly fits in with the current emphasis on production of missile mechs. And vulnerabilities are surprisingly low, with only a 3% on lasers.

That laser vulnerability is a bit of a surprise as you would expect the multi faceted angles to be able to reflect lasers adequately and that it would be more vulnerable to things like Ice. Maybe its the rubber sealing compound they are using.

All in all though, not a bad piece of kit for what it is and it at least adds some variety for the largest production mechs without breaking the bank.
