Damage wise it is more likely to be of benefit to the lower levels than the higher ones, unless they are looking for a backup weapon of some sort. Its pretty fast, then again most slug throwers are. Per usual mecha build stats, equip load out, and skill point allocation will help determine how best this weapon serves you in a fight. It was a freebie so really can't go wrong, add it to your arsenal, put it in your collection, or sell it for niodes.
