It was a cold Winters night on all the worlds in the sub-sector. Every clan had come together to celebrate the holidays and to all have a good laugh over what had happened over the past year. All put aside past grievances and rivalries to have a bit of Christmas Joy. As the time ticked on, the temperature got colder as the snow started to gather around us. Bells could be heard in the distance and all were happy. Then, there was the sound of a mech crashing to the ground. All jumped back as a smouldering crater laid right in front of them. One Pilot walked to the edge of the crater and saw something quite peculiar. It was a tree made out of solid metal. There was gears, pipes and servos all around it, melting in the heat of the crater.
Suddenly, it jolted, sparking into life. The sound of calming melodies echoed around as the lights on the tree flickered into life. The mech struggles to stand on its two feet. All Pilots are now gathered around the crater, stunned by what is in front of them. As the tree stood higher, the music got louder, masking the sound of its machinery. Then, it started to flash, every bauble lighting up. Suddenly, a distinct beeping could be heard and a pre-recorded voice could be heard. "You have all been VERY naughty......" Then, with a crash, the tree drops to the floor, beeping and counting down as everyone runs for cover. 5........ 4......... 3........ 2....... 1........
