CW3322 Post Event Interview With Mortem Orbisque #907239 By John Ringo #899287

No sooner had I finished a quick tour though the wet bar in my office when I had another pilot looking to talk about the last war.

GG: For the record what is your name, player ID, clan you fought with this last CW and what medal did you win?

Mortem: Mortem Orbisque - #907239 - Emerald Dragons. Unfortunately we only managed to take a silver medal this war

GG: Welcome to the studio. Yeah we all strive to win but sometimes it does not work out.

GG: Did your team perform like you expected?

Mortem: Almost, we had a few small challenges with some of the fresh additions but overall I think we had a pretty good showing. the gold fight was a close one right down to the wire and we faced a clan that was designed specifically to fight against us.

GG: Was there anything you found to be a surprise this war?

Mortem: The biggest surprise was the secret extra prizes for the mandated 20T specialists.

GG: Yes that was a surprise for everyone. Now we just have to wait and see if this was a one off or a sign of things to come.

GG: Was there anything you found to be a disappointment this war?

Mortem: Nothing really comes to mind. The war was fun as always and the raid seemed easier than usual and with a stroke of luck I actually won a mecha in the raid so I really can't complain about much this time around

GG: Grats on the mech win. That is always a good feeling.

GG: Back to the bonus prizes for the 20T specs. Should Nick always give out bonus prizes when we have to have a specialist just to get in the war?

Mortem: I think it is a fair compensation for requiring a certain specialist just to enter into the event. By making that requirement it narrows the tactical options a clan has so getting a extra prize to offset is a good thing.

GG: Were pilots quick to volunteer for this 20T spec in your clan or did you guys have to draw straws?

Mortem: I would say neither really happened. It was a lengthy discussion trying to figure out who had the best 20T formation among our members.

GG: Are the Raid Prizes useful for your team or do you just sell most of it for needed Niodes?

Mortem: Last war when we had a gold raid the prizes were useful. This time around with a silver raid not so much. I personally am on the fence but leaning towards selling off some of my low tonnage mechs and equipment to better feed my unlimited formation.

GG: That is a tough question for sure. I wish you the best as you think it over.

GG: In your opinion, what does Nick and his team do very well in this game?

Mortem: I think nick and his team are doing a great job of content creation. There has been a wonderful stream of new mechs and equipment for players at all levels.

GG: In your opinion, what could Nick and his team do better in this game?

Mortem: It would be great if the devs could improve the speed and accuracy of fixing problems with players accounts. Take for instance mine, from day one I have never been able to receive gifts. So no IUK's, no hatoraide, no stims, no seed crystals etc. I have brought this to nicks attention on multiple occasions and nothing is resolved. I understand that glitches happen and I have seen some people get resolution on the players page but I doubt I am the only one who has had technical difficulties go unresolved.
GG: Ouch that is rough. IUK's are the backbone on free leveling niode mechs. Let us hope Nick reads this and takes another look at the problem for you.

GG: Before we wrap this up is there anything you would like to add?

Mortem: It would be great if there were other options for earning niodes in game. maybe something like a daily bonus for logging in and on consecutive days or some other way of earning niodes besides videos that sometimes work, circuit fights that are sometimes impossible to win in due to unpredictable level brackets, and missions that rarely drop noides.

GG: Good food for thought there.

GG: It was a pleasure having you in for this interview. Thanks for stopping by and I wish you and your crew the best.

Mortem: Thank you for taking the time to interview me. Good luck to you as well.
