Frigis Dream Weapon Review by David McCallum #701548
I have some good friends in game... no, I don't have to pay them anything.
They are however pains in the bum.
They are also quite heavy 'contributers' to the game, you know the ones; don't call, don't write then for months on end then suddenly turn up and trample over you with a wall of Boreas.
Just like all the rest of the elite crowd, because apparently Boreas are cool.
And if you can manage to take out one of those big ugly white Behemoths, you will get a glimpse of the Torrent line that they got back before everyone was buying Boreas.
I guess I'm just down on Ice stuff at the moment. Which is why I was less than enthusiastic about having to review the latest offering in ice weaponry, the Frigis Dream.
Well, its selling fast, I'll give it that.
Let's see that stats. Damage 80, Speed rating of 102, 14% chance of Freeze and a Slow rating of 10. A neat little ice package for the cost of 831 Ferrite, 642 Bioptics and 41 Niodes or only 164 Niodes for a bulk pack and its available at level 42.
Now bearing in mind I'm not a fan of ice, this little beasty is worth more than a second glance. Damage alone, compared to a crystal weapon there is only one currently on the market with greater stopping power and you can't get that until you hit level 127. So an investment in one of these is likely to be an investment for life.
Comparing it with other elite weapons, it slots in more towards the Flash Freeze than the Arctic Gale, trading some of their Freeze for that slow. But it is available earlier.
Staying with that Slow abaility, it has the highest rating of any readily available ice weapon, and that is a constant and stackable effect rather than the random effect of Freeze. It also has the highest speed rating of the ice based weapons, taking it into the laser class for speed.
Elite class players just starting may well want to consider this one.
