For some time now, it has caught my attention the fact that although many players know the little trick to get ferrite and bioptics from crystal, few know which the best weapon for the exchange is.
"Wait... a trick for what?" You may say... Ok, let me recapitulate:
Sometimes, we become exhausted on resources and in need to get more, but we might want to avoid acquiring experience, maybe because we wanted to wait for that pretty dodge boost you get when leveling... Or because you were just camping, why not, or because you want to have a smart slow leveling... So, you have tons of crystal, but you became short on ferrite!
What to do then?
You can go to your nearest weaponry shop and using the bulk option, acquire lots of five weapons that will only require some of your crystal...
Double Mordem were said to be the best one, but in fact, Fury lasers are, for low levels, the best one to attempt this exchange.
Once you acquired a large enough amount of fury lasers, you run into the black market and get rid of them, getting in return a decent amount of ferrite and bioptics, and even some of your crystal back!
But here my surprise... What not many knew, is that once you were level 41 or above, you could buy envelopers to save big time in the operation (your hands will be grateful with you). But, attention: Fury Lasers are the star, regarding profit.
But hey, you will save a BIG TIME! Saving your hand from carpal tunnel syndrome!
The maths talk:
Resources Ratio (1 crystal = X Ferrite & = Bioptics)
[Without the consideration of the crystal return, see below]
Envelopers: .... 1 crystal = 34.70 ferrite & 26.78 bioptics. (Save time)
Fury Laser: … 1 crystal = 34.37 ferrite & 27.50 bioptics. (Best ratio - See below)
Double Mordem: 1 crystal = 30.00 ferrite & 22.50 bioptics. (Worse than Fury)
*** But if you were concerned about the CRYSTAL too, then we have to calculate the ratios considering the crystal returned.
For Envelopers:
From 84 crystal you will recover 35 in the trade. 41% crystal returned.
(34.70 & 26.78) + 41% ; (1 crystal = 48.93 ferrite & 37.76 bioptics)
For Fury Laser:
From 8 crystal, you recover 5 in the trade!!! 62.5% returned.
(34.37 & 27.50) + 62.5%; (1 crystal = 55.85 ferrite & 44.69 bioptics)
Then you should consider the FURY LASER as the best option (that carpal tunnel is coming...) because the crystal ratio returned from be selling the weapons will be greater, so in fact, the ratio will increase!
CONCLUSIONS:
Time wise, and if you were not worried about the crystal, get envelopers and you will need 10 less times to get the same amount of resources than what you would require with Fury Lasers.
If you were interested in a major profit, saving as much crystal as possible then goes with Fury Lasers all the way.
