A Wide Chassis Study For The 100 Ton Monsters By Germán Jaramillo ID # 685605.

When the time comes for a pilot or an engineer to determinate which one may be the best gear to load into one of those gigantic Big Fighting Machines, there are some considerations and procedures to keep in mind that through the time have created some standardized tables to have a clear insight.

One of these standardization systems is the called EVAs (Evaluation and Verification Analysis system) that I will use for the evaluation of the current chassis available for BFMs in the Galaxy Markets.

Considering the avoidance capabilities as the main factor in a chassis (and I mean, the dodge), and adding a value for each one of the remnant bonus skills and detracting the vulnerabilities and flaws, we can have a decent idea about what chassis might do a better work for our war machines.

In the following comparative table, we can score the BFM Chassis:

<EVAs Score>Chassis Name (Dodge)/Skill 2 /Skill 3 /Skill 4/Flaw 1/Flaw 2
___________________________________________________________
<51> Caspian Legs (11)/Shld (16)/ Trmpl Sh.35% /Fork Sh.35% /Speed -2
<41> Lateral Stabilizer (13) /3x Dmg 4%/Speed +2/Vul:Laser 4% & Fire 8%
<40> Toxic Processing (14) /Fire Dmg +7% /Vul: Missile 4% & Ice 5%
<39> Rocklar Connectors (10) / Shield (7)/ Splash Shield 35%
<36> Floating Axles (10)/Slow (5)/Vul: Ice 4%
<31> Corrugated Joints (6)/Fork Shld 50%/ Trmpl Shld 30%/Vul: Laser 3%
<22> Guerrilla Joints (7)/2x Damage 4%/Vul:Proj. 3% & Missile 4%
<21> HolloMech Gel (5)/Slow (3)
<20> Advanced Alloys (4)/Laser Shield 5%/Speed +4/Vul: Ice 5%

GENERAL RANKING: From an overall perspective, (if we haven’t to attend any specific goal) when applying the EVAs standards, the chassis become scored as follows:

1ST........ Caspian Legs.......(51 points)
2ND....... Lateral Stabilizer (41 points)
3RD....... Toxic Processing (40 points)
4TH....... Rocklar Connectors (39 points)
5TH....... Floating Axles (36 points)
6TH....... Corrugated Joints (31 points)
7TH....... Guerilla Joints (22 points)
8TH....... HolloMech Gel (21 points)
9TH....... Advanced Alloys (20 points)

AVOIDANCE:
From a dodging factor, the obvious score goes as follows:

1ST....... Toxic Processing (14 dodge)
2ND....... Lateral Stabilizer (13 dodge)
3RD....... Caspian Legs (11 dodge)
4TH....... Rocklar Connectors & Floating Axles (10 dodge)
5TH....... Guerilla Joints (7 dodge)
6TH....... Corrugated Joints (6 dodge)
7TH....... HolloMech Gel (5 dodge)
8TH....... Advanced Alloys (4 dodge)

________________________________________________________
SHIELDING:
Best Shielding Chassis:

1ST....... Caspian Legs (Shield 16+Trample Shield 35%+Fork Shield 35%)
2ND....... Corrugated Joints (Fork Shield 50%+Trample Shield 35%)
3RD....... Rocklar Connectors (Shield 7+Splash Shield 35%)
4TH....... Advanced Alloys (Laser Shield 5%)

________________________________________________________
SPEED: Faster Chassis to upgrade your speed:

1ST....... Advanced Alloys (+4)
2ND.......Lateral Stabilizer (+2)
________________________________________________________ SLOW:
Best slowing Chassis

1ST. .......Floating Axles (5)
2ND........HolloMech Gel (3)
________________________________________________________

Now, the priority to keep in mind while loading the best possible chassis into your big monsters will depend on your talent to figure out how the confrontation will require one of another capability, as that falls into the tactical mastery of the elite pilots.

But if you had doubts, the choice of the best generic chassis may be not the best one for a specific task, but you won’t be falling in the worst of the mistakes anyway.

WARNING:

As a last and precious advice, you may keep in mind that:

Despite the “Caspian Legs” are atop many of these rankings and as the number one in the generic rank, a stack of too many Caspian Legs in your mech chassis, will slow it in a dramatic way,

Although the “Toxing Processor” has the highest possible avoidance (dodge 14), stacking too many will seriously expose your BFM to Ice and Missile damage…

So either way you go when equipping your mech, be careful and ponder all the pros and cons in your gear.
