Raw fission reactions power your mecha's subsystems beyond 100% of what they are designed to handle. The objective of this module is all about increasing your damage output quick and dirty with little to no regard for pilot safety. It does its job solidly, giving an added 75% chance for double damage and 25% chance for triple damage but the nuclear chain reaction used by this device is not particularly stable and is prone to going super-critical (90% odds of 100% kickback damage). It definitely isn't a tool to put in the arsenals of those who may be faint of heart.
You get what you pay for though and if what you want is a premium subsystem drive that is cheap as dirt in the Niode department this one is the king of that, costing 3100 Ferrite, 2496 Bioptics and 5 Niodes.
