Cal 9000 Equipment Review

The CAL9000, another type four observation device of the hardware variety, is both strong enough to use as a standalone cockpit module and able to be augmented further using both software based programs and through linking to hardware based battle processors or other computers.

It's compatible with 65-80 Ton weight mecha.
CAL optimizes the damage outputs of projectile (10%) and ice (8%) type weaponry.  Engineered to simultaneously handle refrigeration and ballistic calculations equally well, the CAL 9000 also grants your mecha precision of 4 paired with a fork bonus of 5%.  Finally, its offense capabilities are rounded out with an increased 10% trample ability.

Combining the ice and projectile damage bonuses with trample ability means you can freeze then shatter an enemy's vital components.  The forking ability is added gravy, allowing you to do it to more than one enemy at the same time.  Individually these features are all decent by themselves but together they are awesome, making it well worth the price tag of 950 Ferrite, 225 Bioptics and 40 Niodes.
