Snavrum Everywhere! By Pat Willis#224534

Go to Rizpah they said, make some money doing smuggler work they said, only 15% of the planet is populated  very low chance of getting caught they said. So sure why not try it we all thought. Maybe strike it rich and find a Niode cache, discover some lost Forerunner relic.  Never in a million years did anyone in our squad expect what we really ran into.

Snavrum…everywhere, flippin Snavrum. Every ten feet, more Snavrum. You can’t move a mech for more than an hour without getting them tangled in your mech joints, or if you’re really unlucky you run into one of the bull males who are about as big as your mech and decide he is protecting his territory. Then you are picking his hide out of your mech for months afterwords. The young ones climb all over your mechas, getting mangled in the joints, gumming up weapons systems. They lay clutches of eggs that number in the thousands at one time. They all hatch at once, and they all decide as one your mecha looks like the ideal lizard play ground!

But no hey it’s okay Rizpah is the place to be to make some side credits…Pft yeah right. More like it is the place that eats up most of your credits in cleaning the Snavrum slop out of your mech. Did you know they have oils in their skin that can actually degrade munitions for solid ammo? I didn’t either, until one of my Wrecker shots got totally gooped up with the critters snot and in under an hour blew the whole gun right out of its housing when the ammo degraded far enough to become unstable. So yeah come to Rizpah but don’t expect to make much in way of credits, but you can make a ton of really nice belts and boots out of Snavrum hides, about all that backwater crap hole is good for.
