Chimera Weapon Review by David McCallum #701548
It's been a funny old week.
You've possibly noticed that I've been a little less active than usual. In truth, I've been having to look up what MILspec gear has been available.
And just to clarify, we are not talking about equipping for a military operation, oh no.
I needed something that was proof against the visiting Mother In Law....
Kenneth gets all prissy when I call her a Dragon. I'm not sure if hes just rightly proud of his clan family, or if he doesn't want them to be associated with something that could be mistaken for a Regis that has been force fed Twinkies that has a permanent Fearsome Aspect akin to a bum-hole sucking a lemon.
I had however just recently leveled, and this gave me a chance to fall back on a tried and trusted method of dealing with such demonic creatures.
Burn them... with fire...
Hello Chimera, you're my new best friend.
Minimum level 103 unless you get it as salvage, a list price of 73 Crystal, 1900 Bioptics and 7250 Ferrite or 292 Crystal for a bulk lot. Damage rating of 75, speed rating of 103 and an 11% chance of getting a burn effect.
Lets compare that to what you've just upgraded from. 11 levels ago there was the Setaline Torch, the next crystal weapon down with ratings of 70 damage, 103 speed and 10% damage. Obviously you are going to get a damage boost, but in a lot of cases the older weapon may have a stat that is higher than the newer one, so you end up packing both and straddling the fence.
Not the case with upgrading to the Chimera, its a boost all the way across the board. You can't really ask more from a crystal weapon, especially when at the end of the day these are going to form the vast bulk of your armoury... unless of course you are as rich as you Granny's 3 month marinaded Christmas cake...
Speaking of which, don't wave your newly purchased Chimera anywhere near said cake. The results could be spectacular, catastrophic or both.
Unless of course the Mother In Law is eating a piece... now there's an idea...
