Rookies Of The Year, By Nathan Justin Weiser #817890

A Paired Pilot Profile

Dark days loomed over the tempestuous planet beyond the edge of the Galaxy. A planet ruled by war and money, Planet Bob, was dying. An alliance of nations that saw itself as a sane shore in a sea of chaos, The Orange Defense Network, held a number of elder statesmen. However, Two such men saw the writing on the wall concerning the death of their planet. For years nations would be born and crushed, but now more than ever, and exodus of many had been coming. Now wild lands outnumbered those ruled by the civilized and natural disasters threatened to crumble nations large and small alike.

Those rulers, Known as Proximus and TragicOne, fled the dying planet for the unknown of space. Dual ships rocketed out into the vast emptiness of space containing cryo-chambers holding the men in stasis until habitable planets were found. In an uncharted zone of space, the two ships found a planet populated largely by two things; Giant Robots and Clones. The two would soon come to find that this was a base ran by Drake Novum and his cohorts in a group known as The Exiles. They were taken in and instructed in the ways of Mecha Combat. It would seem that the galaxy that Planet Bob had bordered on was as war-like as the planet they had come from, and this couldn't have pleased the two more.

In their previous lives, they were accustomed to waging war with a deep warriors discipline. There was one who saw this discipline in the two men and wished to foster it. That man was Officer James Waddington. Under his instruction, the two changed their names and reshaped their mechanical load outs. Dan Laffoon and Nathan J. Weiser would become their new names, respectively. Working under the say so of Exiles leadership, a new, elite unit would be formed as a clan that was not often seen. There were members of many levels, but all with great self control and hearts that sought only victory. At the center of that clan, however, was the two off-world fighters. They comprised the hardened steel core of the unit, and as such the Immortals were born.

Soon, the group would leave from the Exiles territory. They knew that with them, they could never reach their full potential and they struck out on their own. However, without a support system, the group felt that it lacked camaraderie and sought out more informed and well trained warriors. What they found were the clans of the RND, The Chessmen. Internal strife, however, would soon split the immortals and Waddington and his followers would leave for other shores. The off-worlders, however, stayed with the Chessmen. They grew stronger still with the knowledge the Chessmen were able to provide. Under the tutelage of warriors like Richard Millich and Goml, the two grew to be standouts in nearly every King of the Mountain battle. The Galaxy shook in fear. The two, being such close friends, took on a new moniker. To mimic the nicknames of two athletes spoke of in the history books as two of the most young and talented of their time, they adopted the name “The Bash Brothers” for that is what they were. Brothers in arms if not Brothers in Blood. And you can be sure, they they are coming to bash you!
