Shard Battery Weapon Review A Look Back By Pat Willis#224534

As you can see in the image here this was limited release niode missile launcher available to levels 8 and up. While we don't have niode weapons beneath level 8 to compare it to we do have one sitting right at level 8 we can look at to see how it stacks up.

We have the pilots go to, the Air Shock in the niode missile category at level 8. It comes in at 13 straight damage, a speed of 95, and has the weapon ability of Splash at 8%. The Shard beats it out by doing 35 straight damage, wielding a speed of 102, and giving two weapon abilities of Freeze, and 2X damage both at 3%. Hands down the Shard is the better weapon by stats alone.

Then when you hit level 15 you are able to obtain the Advanced Fury Rack. That will allow you to do straight damage of 18, has a speed of 91, and packs the Fork ability at 60%. The Shard is again the clear winner in all areas except weapon ability, because lets face it a Fork of 60% is pretty impressive and you aren't going to beat that with a couple of 3% weapon abilities.

So all In all the Shard does better straight damage and has better speed, especially for a missile launcher, and the only real area it looses out is in the weapon ability, but that is to a level 15 weapon. So all in all the Shard is a smart buy, and quite the superior little ass kicker. I'd recommend buying one before they are gone.
